Basque Culinary Center, a pioneering academic institution at world level that integrates the Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences attached to Mondragon Unibertsitatea requires a person to join its team to take on the Academic Management.

The main responsibility of the person hired will be to lead and manage the academic department of BCC-Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences, which manages official programmes including Bachelor, Master and PhD, planning and supervising the key aspects of the execution, quality and innovation of the programmes offered, as well as ensuring the continuous adaptation of teaching and learning needs and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include, among others:

- Ensuring the proper functioning of teaching in all its types and modalities, in time and form.
- Ensuring that academic documentation complies with the requirements of accreditation and institutional agencies (reports, programme guides, programme structures, teaching guides, etc.).
- Propose and implement innovation and business strategies associated with the areas of knowledge.
- Ensuring the suitability of the teaching team and programme. Validation of teaching staff, teaching content and comparison of syllabus in order to avoid repetition or areas not covered.
- Monitoring and implementing measures that have a positive impact on student evaluation surveys.
- Represent the Faculty in academic and university forums. 

• Doctorate related to the areas of knowledge taught at the centre or related.
• Consolidated experience, more than 5 years, in the university environment applying advanced educational models and educational innovation .
• High ability (C1) to communicate and write in English, Spanish and Basque.
• High capacity for planning, management and organisation and strategic vision of education.
• Orientation towards continuous improvement with the ability to act in detail.
• High relational capacity for the care and generation of a wide network of collaboration.
