Would you like to train in the field of sustainable food? Would you be interested in collaborating with different agents and companies in the agri-food sector?  

From the Technology Center of the Basque Culinary Center, BCC Innovation, we are looking for a person interested in joining the Sustainability Area through a pre-doctoral fellowship. Your main mission will be to contribute to the improvement of the sustainability food system through the development of a doctoral thesis in this field. 

Our main lines of work are focused on:   

• Developing research and innovation projects to improve the sustainability of the food system from gastronomy.  
• Analysis and development of solutions to reduce food waste.  
• Circular economy.  
• Social transformation and citizen science.  
• Collaborate with profiles from different disciplines: culinary arts, nutrition, sensory evaluation... 

Do you identify yourself with the following characteristics?   

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Food Industries, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar.   
• You have a Master's Degree, especially in subjects related to the position.   
• You have a high level of communication skills in Spanish, Basque and English.  
• You are a proactive person, who feels comfortable working in a team.  
• You are motivated to develop your doctoral thesis in a multidisciplinary, innovative and dynamic environment, with a team of people committed to improving sustainability.

How can you apply for the scholarship?   

• The title of the scholarship is: Sustainability on the plate. Methodology and tools for the development of sustainable food products.   
• You will apply for the call of the IKERTALENT 2024 program - Training grants for pre-doctoral research personnel and technologist personnel in the scientific-technological and business fields of the agricultural, fishing and food sector.

• This is an aid program for researchers in training with a duration of 4 years.
